This year alone, Don Barnhart Entertainment has been contracted to produce a series of celebrity comedy acts, all-star comedy shows and self-improvement seminars for the Armed Forces Entertainment.
First up is Las Vegas based comedian George Wallace who, taking time out from his Vegas based show, just finished a tour of Japan and Don Barnhart will be bringing him to Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Europe and Italy over the next year. Wallace has become the ambassador for Armed Forces Entertainment and is already being called this generation’s Bob Hope.
Barnhart has strong ties to the military as he himself began touring, producing and consulting for the USO’s Comedy Break Series back in the 90’s. It was then that he created his booking agency dedicated to bring even more comedy to the troops. “We cannot do enough to support the men and women that put their life on the line to protect and defend our way of life,” stated Barnhart.
Comedy superstar Louie Anderson will also take time out of his long running show in Las Vegas to tour for Don Barnhart Entertainment’
Barnhart himself is one of the top comedians working today and serves as the tours opening act and road manager making sure all the tours run smoothly. His partner and wife, Asian fitness sensation Linda Vu, will be producing a series of self improvement seminars bringing her Women’s Self Defense seminar overseas to work with the women in the military to empower them to defend against personal attacks and sexual harassment. The seminar will feature Vu’s personally selected team from her training studio at Veritas Combat Arts and Fitness Academy.

Earlier this year, Brad Garrett was scheduled to tour for the troops but due to his signing to star in Robin William’s new sitcom The Crazy Ones and he had to postpone the tour till later next year.
Besides the name acts, celebrities and self improvement seminars, Don Barnhart Entertainment is also booking a series of all star comedy tours for the troops featuring the top comedians and variety entertainers around the world. “My connections in the comedy industry have helped me forge and maintain great relationships with the top comics and other variety entertainers across the country,” Barnhart said from satellite phone interview while he was onboard performing his own stand up show for Carnival Cruise Lines.
The All Star Comedy Tours feature comics that have been seen and heard on The Tonight Show, Letterman, Conan, HBO, Comedy Central, BET, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, Craig Ferguson, XM/Sirius Satellite Radio, The Bob & Tom Show, Opie and Anthony and more.
One recent tour Barnhart sent over to the Armed Forces include some of the freshest talents out there: Keith Lyle from The Hangover and CSI, Jeff Capri from Comics Unleashed and Last Comic Standing, Slade Ham from XM/Sirius Satellite Radio, Campus Comedian of The Year - Spanky from ER and The Profiler, Former Marine Sam Fedele from Comedy Central and Laura Hayden from Stand Up In Stilletos.
Carnival Cruise Lines recently expanded their comedy entertainment with the George Lopez Punchliner Comedy Clubs. Not only has Barnhart already been working for Carnival for several years, he has worked with Lopez many times before and hopes to bring in some of the great talent his company represents.
The cruise industry itself has become a major destination for comedians and Barnhart has performed for Royal Caribbean, Princess, NCL and Holland America. “People love to laugh and comedy has always been a staple to great entertainment,”
Comedy is booming and it’s clearly evident in the expansion of all the comedy clubs opening in Las Vegas alone. Barnhart has consulted for several of the new venues in Vegas as well and numerous clubs across the country and even starred in his own Las Vegas show which was given the title, “Best Bet” by the Las Vegas Review/Journal Newspaper.
Don Barnhart continues to tour and will be headlining a special event of his comedy hypnosis show for the Improv Comedy Club in San Jose, CA Oct 3rd. "With the power of the internet, we don't need to be in an office and can produce our tours from anywhere in the world." added Barnhart. Which is great as Barnhart is on the road an average of 250 days a year. "I couldn't take all the work being offered so it was only natural for the venues asked for a recomendation and I started booking other acts to replace me."
Some of Barnhart’s tours include comedy and magic shows appealing to all an ages audiences. This is in part due to where Don got his start in comedy at the world famous Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, CA where he booked, managed and was the house emcee all throughout the early 80’s.
It was during his rein there that he learned from and worked with some of the top comedy superstars of today including; Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engval, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, David Spade, Garry Shandling, Judd Apatow, Monty Python’s Graham Chapman, Jim Carey, Dennis Miller, Tom Hanks, Roseanne Barr and many more.
“For the military, we book clean and wholesome shows that appeal to a broad range of audiences whereas the nightclubs can be a bit more risqué. It’s up to the venue to draw the boundaries and outline their preferences.”
