VENICE, Fla. - Sept. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- There were over 1,000,000 military, civilian scientists, and technology engineers involved in US nuclear weapons tests from 1945 to 1992. They participated in different capacities in 1147 atomic blasts in New Mexico, Nevada and Pacific islands like Bikini, Eniwetak, Christmas, Marshalls, Johnston and others.

Most were restricted by a DOD Oath of Secrecy from disclosing any information. Over the years health issues in form of cancers and radiation fallout diseases developed. In the 1980's DOD rescinded partially the Oath of Secrecy. Atomic Veterans can now discuss health issues and claim compensation which ranges from $  50,00 to $ 400,000. About 190,000 of Atomic Veterans may not even be aware of this.

National Assoction of Atomic Veterans indicates that about 300,000 Atomic Veterans are already deceased and others are dying at the rate of 1,800 per month, but their descendants can claim conmpensation. To prove eligibility it is necessary to contact Bechtel Nevada facility in Las Vegas who maintain an archive of badges issued to Atomicx Veterans. Call 702-295-3521 for details.

There is also Atomic Veterans National Cancer Benefits Center which assists in filing papers for compensation through Department of Justice. The contact here is 800-729-7327

The author also recommends that any veteran who wants to write about his nuclear weapons experiences can do so whenever he wants to do it, without waiting for literary agents or publishers, and at no cost at all. Click on link below to get all details from Amazon Kindle directly:
