Douglas Jimerson is renowned for his performances and vocal interpretation of music 19th century America. From the Kennedy Center to Carnegie Hall to the U.S. Capitol, Jimerson has received rave reviews. The Civil War Comrades perform American patriotic and folk music as an ensemble in the National Parks and at historic sites throughout the mid-Atlantic. Come hear favorite songs of the Civil War in this historical setting. Look for the Civil War Comrades at the historic Town Hall Bank Museum on Fisher Avenue at Elgin Road in Poolesville, MD from 1:30 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Children love to participate in the singing, clapping and foot stomping! Stephen Foster songs are a special favorite. There will be many activites for the children at Poolesville Day. Admission is free. There is a 5K race at 8:00 AM and a parade at 10:00 AM. There are pony rides and livestock/animal displays, classic car and truck displays, other bands, and much more!
