PODS® Savannah teams up with Senior Citizens, Inc. to raise donations for seniors, pets

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Sept. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- PODS^® Savannah, the community’s moving and storage leader has partnered with Senior Citizens, Inc., for the “PODS for Pets and People” food drive taking place at Chatham Parkway Subaru from now until Saturday, Sept.21.

Senior Citizens, Inc., is asking people to donate non-perishable food and pet supply donations that will benefit the organization’s Meals on Wheels program. This program delivers lunchtime meals to homebound seniors and their pets to help alleviate hunger among seniors and their animal companions. Suggested donations include: canned foods such as meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables; dried foods such as stuffing mixes, pastas, beans, rice and peas; cereals; peanut butter; jelly; boxed side dishes and dinners; and dry or canned animal food.

A PODS^® container will serve as a collection point for donations at the automobile dealership located at 7 Park of Commerce Way, next to I-16.
