Visit www.unicornchildrensfoundation.org/ When asked why Max Tucci wanted to create Young Leaders in Philanthropy he stated: "It has always been a dream of mine to go into the community and find those that are paying it forward. The bright, young stars of our neighborhoods. Growing up in Manhattan, they peppered the streets. Scouting for a Young Leader in Philanthropy in New York is a simple task. Would finding them in South Florida be as simple? Indeed, it was! After joining the committee of Unicorn Children's Foundation, thanks to my dear friend Cindi Krost, I quickly becoming the Gala Chairman (first for "Buddha Ball" which we held at Mar-a-Lago, March of 2013; and now "Noche Caliente Tropical" which will also be held at Mar-a-Lago on March 1, 2014). It was while volunteering at Unicorn Children's Foundation that I met a young woman who inspired me immensely, Sarah Hassan. I figured if Sarah Hassan was the definition of a Young Leader in Philanthropy, that South Florida may have more than I thought. I quickly called Adam Goodkin and planned lunch at Max's Grille. I explained to him my dream, my vision, and that I was once honored by The American Diabetes Association as a young leader in philanthropy myself. I asked Adam, if he "would join me on my mission to acknowledge those in our community that selflessly give back!" he accepted and Simply The Best magazine became the presenters of the event. An ad, tweets and emails went out, and the search was on. Find ten Young Leaders in Philanthropy, then honor them. I always say "what you're looking for is looking for you!" I was looking to host an event that would honor those that give back. I was now in the flow, Sarah Hassan agreed to be my co-host of the event and Unicorn Children's Foundation agreed to give the awards to our honorees. Jazziz quickly became involved as the location for the event and my idea for "South Florida's Young Leaders in Philanthropy" For more information, contact Neil Birch 561-620-9377 Neil@unicornchildrensfoundation.org http://www.unicornchildrensfoundation.org/ End
