An exciting and eventful month for the students of Spanish in the Region of Valencia

VALENCIA, Spain - Sept. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Students of Spanish in Valencia take part in various free time activities and get to know the Spanish culture

Valencia. Two weeks ago language students visited the colorful carnival of Rafaelbuñol and last weekend they enjoyed the Ferias de Peñiscola. After another week of Spanish classes, the students will make a bike tour to the beach of El Saler and an excursion to the spectacle of Moros y Cristianos in Almenara.

The carnival of Rafaelbuñol (https://picasaweb.google.com/109623512845634400974/060913CarnevalEnRafelbunol) or the Baile de Disfraces de Rafaelbuñol (english: dance of disguise of Rafaelbuñol) was celebrated on a Friday two weeks ago by some students of Spanish. The students dressed up in different kinds of ways until they went to the party together. The carnival of Rafaelbuñol is celebrated annually by circa 40,000 people, although the small city only has 8,500 inhabitants. In this night of carnival a lot of different cultures and nationalities come together to celebrate until dawn, as the students of Spanish of the city of Valencia.

The previous weekend some language students visited the Feria in Peñiscola (http://www.peniscola.org/). After the arrival, the students enjoyed some hours in Peñiscola to have a look at the impressionable castle on the peninsula, the beautiful old town and the extensive beach of course. In the afternoon they watched the traditional bull spectacle, called Encierro de vaquillas at the Plaza de Toros, that is often shown in the spanish Ferias. In the evening the students returned to Valencia having these beautiful thoughts in mind.

The next week after another week of studying Spanish, there will be a bike tour to the beach of El Saler (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZtxB-9SA8g&list=PL4E2...), that is situated in the nature reserve Albufera. The students of Spanish will go to the beach by bike and spend a nice afternoon there having a picnic there.

In addition, there is the festival of Moros y Cristianos in Almenara. The students have the unique opportunity to be part of this spectacle. They will wear the typical clothing (https://www.google.es/search?q=fiestas+moros+y+cristianos...) and accompany the section of Hassam Hardá de Alboraya. The Fiestas de los moros y cristianos (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moros_y_cristianos) remember of the fights between the Moors and the Christians and of the retaking by the Christians. The spectacle represents the conquest of a city by the Moors and its retaking by the Christians. In this event the group who represents the Christians wears medieval costumes and the ones who illustrate the Moors wear morish costumes. Also the students of the Spanish school will dress up and experience the Spanish culture. Unique!

Learning Spanish for the Students of the Spanish Language School Costa de Valencia (http://www.costadevalencia.com/) doesn’t only mean studying Spanish, but also experiencing the Spanish culture. Like this the students have the opportunity to practice and deepen their new learned Spanish knowledge in daily life. Experiencing the carnival of Rafaelbuñol, making and excursion to Peñiscola and to the beach, as well as taking part in the party of Moros y Cristianos – in this way learning Spanish is fun!

Since 1995 the language school Costa de Valencia has focused on teaching Spanish to non-native speakers. This language school, which is situated in the heart of Valencia, is a Centro Acreditado of the Instituto Cervantes and a member of many associations.

The teaching material, which is used during the lessons, is worked out by a team of well-versed teachers. One of the most important aspects of teaching in this school is the individual involvement of every single student. This way every student has the possibility to speak very much during the language course. Furthermore, both managers place big value the quality of the language lessons and a broadly diversified leisure programme.
