The Kitchies are taking Emergenza by Storm!

MELBOURNE, Australia - Sept. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- The Kitchies are a Indie, Rock, Pop, Electro band that was formed back in 2010 in Brighton, France. The group came together after vocalist and guitarist Jeremy Souillart and singer and guitarist Jonathan Lecoq met drummer Yannick Scardina and bass player Florian Gualandi. Once together they switched from acoustic to electric.

After a year of playing at events and venues and writing funky compositions the band decided to sign up for the "Rock Festival Gibus Inter Ecoles" at the Gibus in Paris. They took third place.

Shortly after the group decided to adopt a style that better fit their combined desires...Indie Rock. They signed a publishing contract for their single “Dolly" with a Parisian producer after winning a Internet contest on YouTube.

After the signing the band decided, in September 2011, to go to England for six months to learn English culture, improve the writing of their texts and of course to compose new songs in a style more professional and more popular.

After being away from the French scene for months, the group returned in mid-March with the aim of linking scenes and local festivals and to show that their six months have made ​​them far more mature. And now they find themselves back at the Gibus competing in the Emergenza Rock Festival. If they can win their countries national finals they will be flown at Emergenza’s expense to Germany for the international finals. The international finals are held each August at the Taubertal Open Air Festival.

The winner of the international final is crowned the “Best Band in the World” and they win a tour, promotion, studio time, musical instruments and more! The Kitchies are following the path to their dreams and it has led them to Emergenza!
