Horror Author Bryan W. Alaspa's Terrifying Novella Now Available for Pre-Order at Just 99 Cents

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Sept. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Author Bryan W. Alaspa's terrifying new novella "Strange Fruit and the Slender Man" is his Halloween treat for his fans, according to his website and Facebook page. The novella is the first of his works to be made available for pre-order at just 99 cents. The novella can be pre-ordered for Nook, iPad, iPhone and Kobo e-readers and devices.

"I am excited to be doing my very first pre-order work," said the author from this home in Chicago. "People who order the book now can do so for just 99 cents and then when the actual publication date arrives, it will be loaded automatically to their reading device."

The pre-orders have been made available thanks to his work with the ebook site Smashwords which allows independent authors to publish their novels using pre-order for Kobo, Barnes & Noble and the Apple iBookstore.

The novella tells the terrifying story of two Chicago police detectives in the 1950s who have to try and find two kidnapped sisters. They both end up in a battle for their very souls as an ancient force comes into play, turning their lives upside down.

The Slender Man is a relatively new monster, created in an online forum right after the turn of the century.

"Slender Man is a modern monster for a modern era," said Mr. Alaspa. "However, I wanted to make him seem older, ancient, so I put him into a period drama filled with mystery and terror."
