Innovations International Discuss Team-Building

Hartford, CT, September 2013 – Innovations International have announced they will be attending a team building day at The Adventure Park at The Discovery Museum in Bridgeport, CT on September 28th.

The Adventure Park has five acres of woodland with an “aerial forest park.” There is a series of platforms in the trees connected by cable, wood, rope and zip lines to form bridges. Each bridge presents a different challenge of how to get to the next platform. A series of bridges form “aerial trails” throughout the forest.

The goals of the park are to build self-confidence through “feel-good exercise” and surprise yourself with what you can do. The adventure is a great team building activity as sometimes all that is stopping you from falling is one of your team mates.

Innovations International Managing Director Frank Fellone believes that because teamwork is so critical to a business' success, team-building activities are vital. “It is so important to build trust, ease conflicts, increase collaboration and make sure that the team are effectively communicating to make sure projects run smoothly,” comments Fellone.

Team-building activities can help develop trust among your employees. Trust is a critical component to business, especially when teamwork is required on a daily basis to achieve objectives and grow companies. Mutual trust fostered by team-building activities can allow your employees to depend more on one another and be more productive and efficient as a result.

Depending on the varied personalities of your employees, unnecessary conflicts and disputes might arise. Team-building activities can play an important role in easing conflicts between co-workers by allowing employees to bond with one another and become more accustomed to each others personalities.

Team-building activities can establish a stronger bond between co-workers who might blame one another when problems arise within shared business projects. This bond can help in increasing collaboration among employees during daily business activities.

Through team-building activities, employees can learn how to better communicate with one another because they probably will be faced with activities that need to be solved as a group. Communication practice can translate into more productive and efficient daily work and allow employees to function better as an overall team.
