On Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 9:00 AM until 12: 00 Noon at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 100 Harter Road, Morristown, NJ, Voice of the Faithful will present a program, A Eucharistic People in a 21st Century Church featuring Fr. Roger Haight, S.J., as the keynote speaker, followed by a panel presentation with representatives of Intentional Eucharistic Communities in northern New Jersey sharing stories of their roots, strengths and challenges, structures, ministries and visions for the future.
Fr. Roger Haight, S.J., grew up in Caldwell, NJ, and is Scholar in Residence at Union Theological Seminary in New York. A past president of the Catholic Theological Society of America, Fr. Haight received his doctorate in theology from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago in 1973, and was named Alumnus of the Year in 2005. He has taught throughout the United States and abroad. Additionally, he has published works on the theology of grace, liberation theology, fundamental theology, and Christology.
