Starting Your Own Business Workshop to be Held in Middlebury Sept. 24

Starting a business can be challenging. This 4-hour workshop will help participants understand the value of a business plan, resources available, and steps involved in launching a successful business.

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Sept. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Vermont Small Business Development Center (VtSBDC) is offering a four-hour workshop on how motivated individuals can start their own business and write a business plan.  The course will be offered on Tuesday, September 24th, 9:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Addison County Economic Development Corp office, 1590 Route 7 South, in Middlebury.

Starting Your Own Business is conducted by experienced business advisors and designed as a step-by-step guide for starting a business in Vermont for the first-time business owner:

 * Evaluate whether there is a viable business in a good idea
 * Identify target customers and explore how to conduct market research
 * Learn how to register a company, apply for tax numbers and protect a brand
 * Prepare to write an effective business plan
 * Find out about financing options and learn what a credible loan package looks like
 * Receive access to the online workshops to increase participant knowledge in money, marketing and management (at participant’s convenience) valued at over $150.00

The registration fee is $99.00. Payment includes a start-up workbook in hardcopy and PDF format.

By the end of this workshop participants will be well-informed about the resources available and the steps involved in launching a successful business.
