Support for these missing Americans and their families is deeply felt by the military filmmakers of Vanilla Fire. America’s POW/MIAs should be honored and recognized, rather than memorialized, with the focus on the need to account as fully as possible for those still missing, alive or dead, as was documented in the Vanilla Fire film Until They Are Home (2012 Oscar Shortlist) which is now available at Walmart at Netflix. Strong, united support by the American people is crucial to achieving concrete answers, and now is the time to start planning for this year’s Veterans Day release of The Carrier which will raise the morale of the men and women who serve our country. The American people can make the difference by supporting more military films at VanillaFire.com

Also in The Carrier is Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus who can be seen in the movie trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d3164Pr6W0&feature=youtu.be

Producer Tamara Henry is currently asking for assistance with funding of a seven day run in a commercial theater for The Carrier so it will qualify for consideration for nomination in the 2014 Independent Spirit Awards. http://www.spiritawards.com/ The seven day run (which would cost $2,500) must happen during 2013, and the deadline for submission of The Carrier is October 15th, 2013, with an entry fee due of $475. Join the Vanilla Fire team and help get this "must see" military film across the finish line. The film has been completed and its budget was $225,000. An additional $2975 will give this film a chance at a nomination in the 2014 Independent Spirit Awards.
