BAY SHORE, N.Y. - Sept. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Bay Shore, NY — On October 12, Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. (ADRC) will host “A Drive Through the Ages,” a safe driving seminar for senior citizens and their families. The seminar will take place at ADRC’s headquarters, located at 45 Park Avenue in Bay Shore, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Alan Goldman, CSA, CDI, CPFT-HFI, will be leading the discussion on how seniors can show themselves and their loved ones that they can still drive safely. This seminar will feature helpful tips and suggestions to help build confidence in seniors.

According to the most recent Census Bureau report, there were 40.3 million people age 65 and older as of April 2010, an increase of 5.3% from 35 million in 2000.

“This seminar is a great way that the community can ensure the safety of its elder citizens,” says Mary-Ann Malack-Ragona, Executive Director and CEO, ADRC. “With the number of elderly drivers expected to triple in the United States in the next 20 years, this program is more relevant than ever.”
