Jack Ogston is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland, having spent 36 years in management positions with Clydesdale Bank, latterly as Head of Corporate & Structured Finance in Scotland. He has significant board and lending experience and is currently an advisor to Davidson Chalmers Solicitors, Maven Capital Partners and Kingdom Taverns.
Commenting on the appointments, Alexa Henderson, Chair of the Scottish Building Society said;
“I’m delighted that we have attracted two new non-execs of such calibre to the Scottish Building Society. Their financial and board experience will further strengthen our board as we push forward with our strategy for the benefit of the Society’s members.”
The Society, which merged with the Century Building Society on 1 February 2013, has assets of some £388 million, a mortgage book of £277 million and a network of 67 branch offices and agencies throughout Scotland.
