The Call Centre in the running for top TV awards

SWANSEA, Wales - Sept. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- The popular NTA’s, which are in their 19^th year, are the biggest and most celebrated television awards ceremony in the UK.

With all winners determined by public vote, viewers are asked to pledge their votes by 11^th October in a selection of categories which include Best Serial Drama, Best Talent Show and Best Entertainment Presenter.

Amongst the categories for 2014, 'The Call Centre' will be competing for Best Documentary Series against a long list of nominations which include Africa, Inside Claridge’s My Big Fat Gypsy Valentine and Paul O'Grady's Working Britain. Last year the award was handed to David Attenborough’s series Frozen Planet.

Attended by well-established and much loved characters from a vast selection of television programmes, previous winners include Coronation Street, Downton Abbey, Ant and Dec and Strictly Come Dancing.

The event will be broadcast live on ITV on the 22^nd January from the O2 Arena and host Dermot O’Leary will have the enviable task of announcing the winners.

Nev said of the nomination. “It was a real honour to win an NRTA award this week and to find out that we have been nominated at the National Television Awards is incredible.”

“We have been nominated within a long list for best documentary series and I am hoping that the public will vote for us again. We are up against some stiff competition but you never know.”
