McMaster Innovation Park Start-up Invited to Web Summit in Dublin,Ireland

HAMILTON, Ontario - Sept. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Hamilton, Ontario September 18^th, 2013:  AdvanTag announced today that it has been invited to one of the largest technology conferences in the world. The Web Summit, being held in Dublin, Ireland, is a global gathering that features more than 10,000 of the world’s brightest minds in technology. The gathering includes the planets leading technology and start-up companies, as well as small, medium and large businesses that are impacted by new technology.

The AdvanTag team are accustom to international success. In 2012, AdvanTag finished top 10 at an MIT Business Plan competition with over 4500 participants in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. After receiving strong recognition in the Middle East and North Africa, AdvanTag caught the attention of angel investors and received seed funding from Dubai.

In North America, Mo Shahin and Drew Thachuk are working together to launch the company. Mo Shahin is a Founder/Chief Technology Officer and a graduate of the Masters of Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Innovation program at McMaster University. Drew Thachuk, the Director of Business Development is a Mohawk College and Davenport University graduate who has strong roots in Hamilton.
