Aruba Video Lands Author As Finalist in American Airlines' Contest

PHILADELPHIA - Sept. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- There's no denying that writer Daniel Putkowski loves Aruba. The popular Caribbean destination, known for its soft, white beaches and soothing tradewinds, was the setting for his 2008 bestseller "An Island Away" as well as his novels "Under a Blue Flag" and "Dark Currents." This year, the author placed Aruba center stage in a submission to American Airlines' annual "Flights. Camera. Action." video contest and emerged a top contender for the grand prize. "I've been traveling to Aruba for 20 years and American Airlines has always been an important part of that experience," says Putkowski.

Participants were asked to submit a 60 second video that highlights how American Airlines has impacted their business. The contest accepted entries in three categories: established businesses (over five years), new businesses (under five years), and not-for-profits. Putkowski is one of nine finalists in the established business category.
