Burt Blaustein was a unique, outstanding and committed people person while being a superb administrator and highly appreciated by his staff and all his superiors.
Rabbi Braun stated that in his 43 years of public service he never found another individual that possessed the qualities, compassion combined with a humble disposition. He always had a smile on his face and accommodated all requests brought to his attention with great success while utilizing his wonderful sense of humor.
The event was attended by close to 100 former co-workers union officials and some relatives of Mr. Blaustein.Some of the closest people such as Mr. Joel Kanarvogel and Mark Glickson, Former HRA Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Housing and Homeless Services who worked very closely may years with Mr. Blaustein also expressed that no other human being can be found to emulate the warmth Mr. Bluestein exuberated. In conclusion Rabbi Braun extended a prayer that the soul of Boruch Bainish ben Moshe be elevated to the highest extend in heaven for all the good he has done in society and asked that all people emulate his legacy of kindness.
