SHEFFIELD, U.K. - Sept. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Leading UK gas infrastructure and connections company Fulcrum has been appointed by Willmott Dixon Energy Services to design and install a six figure, 4.4 kilometre pipeline to supply natural gas to the village of Nantlle, Caernarfon.

The project is part of the Welsh Government funded ARBED 2 ERDF scheme aimed at improving energy efficiency in specific areas across Wales.

Under the ARBED 2 ERDF scheme, Fulcrum will complete a significant gas pipeline installation that initially connects 70 residents to the national gas network - providing them with access to a natural gas supply for the first time.

The gas pipeline is part of a wider programme of energy saving works being delivered to the properties by Willmott Dixon Energy Services. On completion of the installation, residents of the village - a stone’s throw from Snowdon - will switch from their existing fuel sources that include coal and oil to more energy efficient and cost effective natural gas supplies.

The project commenced on July 1st 2013 and will see Fulcrum overcome numerous engineering complexities, including three bridge crossings, before its expected completion in November 2013.
