MADISON, Wis. - Sept. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Quincy Bioscience, makers of unique brain health supplement, Prevagen®, released the results of a memory survey today. With over 6,000 votes cast, “Forgetting people’s names” was the most common memory complaint with 36 percent of the vote.

The survey was completed by visitors at www.prevagen.com where people interested in improving their memory were asked about their most common memory loss scenario. Receiving 35 percent of the vote, “Forgetting words in a conversation” was a close second. “Forgetting appointments” was not as problematic for the participants, coming in last with six percent of votes.

The survey results reflect a common dilemma for people experiencing normal forgetfulness associated with aging - meeting new people and keeping track of one’s thoughts in social situations. Research has shown that the inability to produce a well-known word in a conversation, like someone’s name, despite a feeling that identifying the correct word is about to occur, is one of the most common cognitive changes in aging.

Prevagen, the nation’s best-selling branded memory supplement, has demonstrated an ability to help improve word finding. In one study, 74 percent of participants reported a noticeable and sustained improvement in their ability to recall words in a conversation (http://www.prevagen.com/research/impact-of-prevagen-on-me...) after taking Prevagen daily for 90 days.

“Memory problems and frustrations continue to increase in our aging population. We have seen many issues of mild memory loss associated with aging be positively addressed by people taking Prevagen (http://www.prevagen.com/) on a daily basis,” said President and co-founder of Quincy Bioscience, Mark Underwood. “It is our hope that people are able to address their memory concerns in a hopeful manner with a combination of diet, exercise and nutrition.”
