NEW HOPE, Pa. - Sept. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Artists Reception Oct. 12, 2013 from 4-8pm. Exhibit Runs Thru Oct. 31, 2013

Four of our East Coast artists will be exhibiting their most recent oil paintings reflecting their own perspectives of their visual surroundings.  Each brings to the canvas and easel her own life experiences and her own vision of the world. All are masters of the genre as evident by their profound masterpieces, exploring a deeper understanding of the emotional and physical world. Christine Graefe Drewyer, Maryanne Montone Tursi, Nancy Peach, and Barbara Nuss have painted beautiful landscapes, townscapes, and garden scenes, all reminding you of another time and place.

Christine Drewyer's contemplative landscapes explore the many moods evoked by changing daylight on serene vistas. Inspired by the 19th Century Romantics and tonalists, her color saturated compositions tend to reduce detail and emphasize the essence of the image, arousing the viewer’s imagination and memory. The artist is a signature member and president of Women Artists of the West, winner of the President's Award / Salmagundi Club and received Award of Excellence / Art of the West Magazine.

Maryanne Montone Tursi’s passion for nature and the outdoors has directed her focus to painting landscapes, gardens and flowers.  Her award winning paintings reflect the beauty she finds close to home as well as abroad.  A recent trip to France has provided her with a wealth of inspiration for many of her latest paintings. She is a juried member of the Salmagundi Club and the National Association of Women Artists.

Nancy Peach is an award winning artist who paints realistic oils of rural America.  Her paintings are influenced by the luminists of The Hudson River School.  The art expresses her desire to capture the beauty of the disappearing landscape.

Barbara Nuss, known for her warm and peaceful landscapes, is an award-winning artist who paints the picturesque vistas and historic towns of the Mid-Atlantic in her own classical impressionistic style. She has had numerous one-person exhibits including solo exhibitions in Washington, DC, and New York City and she has won awards from the National Arts for the Parks and the National Oil and Acrylic Painter’s Society exhibitions.

The attached image is an 16" x 20" oil painting titled
"Blue Mail Box" by Barbara Nuss. Approximately 30 additional paintings will be included in the exhibit.
