PRLog -- Rich Samuels, author of
My Life at the Bottom of the Food Chain, was interviewed recently for an upcoming episode of
Connie Martinson Talks Books. Connie’s response: “I loved it!” For the last thirty years, Connie Martinson has interviewed both prominent and emerging authors on her influential program, including Maya Angelou, Ray Bradbury, Al Gore, Rosa Parks, Studs Terkel, Joyce Carol Oates, and, in 1995, a then-unknown Barack Obama. Samuels’
book is a darkly funny novel middle grade novel about Alexander, a thirteen-year-
old so frightened of bullying that he nearly becomes a bully himself. In her discussion with Samuels, Martinson expressed how closely she related to the story, and shared some of her own middle school experiences. “It’s not knowing what you’re working into, and it’s all earthquake time.”
Connie Martinson Talks Books is syndicated on cable television stations across the United States. While the interview is scheduled to air on television in October, it’s already available in its entirety on Connie Martinson’s YouTube channel,

My Life at the Bottom of the Food Chain is a non-stop adventure that manages to be both thought-provoking and just plain fun. Author Rich Samuels, at various times, has been an Emmy
tm award-winning producer, director, editor and amateur cartoonist. He’s taught filmmaking workshops, been a news director, acted, reported and created documentaries. He has always, however, remained a kid.
My Life at the Bottom of the Food Chain is available from most online retailers in paperback and all popular ebook formats. Information on the book and the author is available at
