Southwest Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association Holds Public Relations University

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Sept. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) is hosting its annual one-day professional development seminar, PR University, on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Edison State College, 8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers, FL 33919. This year’s event is “Public Relations: Creating Slam Dunk Projects for your Clients” and will include topics on media relations, branding, marketing and social media.

PR University will host a special “Dunk City Panel” to discuss the public relations aspect of the #DunkCity phenomenon that brought the spotlight onto Southwest Florida. Panelist will include officials from Florida Gulf Coast University, the local visitor and convention bureau and local media.

Additional speakers will include Connie Ramos-Williams, CEO & President at Conric PR Marketing Publishing in Fort Myers, Fla. on “The Making of an MVPr-Most Valued Press Release - that out performs and rises above the rest!”; Erik Strafford, Creative Director at ISOOSI in Fort Myers, Fla. “Becoming an Online Marketing Ninja Using Internet PR and Social Media”; Cindy Woolley, APR, Author and Public Relations Branding and Community Outreach Specialist at C2 Communications in Naples, Fla. on “Personal Branding”; and Barry Epstein, President and CEO at Barry R. Epstein Associates, Inc. in Boca Raton, Fla. on “Important Conversations on being unique in your profession, including Political PR and Hosting your own TV Show!”

Full-day registration is $75 for member, $90 for nonmembers and $35 for students. Lunch only registration is $25 for members, $30 for nonmembers and $10 for students. Registration is open at www.fpraswfl.org until Monday, September 30.
