Victoria, BC Author Nathan Lapointe Publishes Debut Novel "A Strange New World"

VICTORIA, British Columbia - Sept. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Victoria, BC, September 2013 – Victoria, British Columbia-based author Nathan Lapointe has published his debut novel A Strange New World, the first novel in a four-part science fiction series called The Great Game.  The novel follows a group of 20 humans who are suddenly taken from their daily lives on Earth and find themselves on a different planet, forced to survive with few resources.

Nathan was inspired to write A Strange New World by friends participating in NaNoWriMo, the National Novel Writing Month coordinated by The Office of Letters and Light, a non-profit organization.  Nathan completed writing the novel during Camp NaNoWriMo in July 2013 after over a year of writing and planning.  “I'm an avid reader and am always looking for something new and interesting to read,” says Nathan. “Being able to complete and publish my first novel is extremely exciting and I'm looking forward to completing the sequel and the series.”

Four novels are planned for The Great Game series; the sequel to A Strange New World is titled Alared Alejdeydh and will be released shortly.  A Strange New World has been independently published by Nathan through Smashwords.com (https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/354783) and Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F1H8TFA) and is available for purchase in multiple formats, including for the Kindle, Nook, Kobo, iPad and other devices.
