Simi Valley Printer Selected for Nissan Commercial Vehicle Wraps

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Sept. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- SIMI VALLEY, CA – ThumbPrint, a manufacturer of large-format printing for vehicle graphics, was chosen from an elite group of 3M™ MCS/3M Certified Graphic Installation Companies (http://www.uasg.org/locate_members/index.php), to provide custom vehicle advertising graphics for five Nissan NV 200 Cargo Vans. These nimble uni-body commercial vans were awarded to winners of a nationwide contest (http://nissannews.com/en-US/nissan/usa/channels/us-united-states-nissan-cv/releases/nissan-commercial-vehicles-announces-winners-for-design-your-ride-contest) held by Nissan Commercial Vehicles for small business owners. Winners were from; Houston, TX, Redding, CA, Hampton Roads, VA, Clifton, NJ, and Warner Robins, GA. Nissan developed the contest to help meet the needs of small businesses in America, conducted from March 2 through July 1, 2013.

Nissan, along with Sean Murphy, of 3M's Original Wraps, contacted ThumbPrint owner, Kenny Miller, asking if they can design, print and install all five Nissan NV 200 Cargo Vans.

The challenge – a very tight deadline. These five cargo vans needed to be delivered in Los Angeles, CA the following Friday for presentation on Saturday, August 24, 2013.

All five designs were proofed and approved in two days. Then the fun began with imaging over 1,500 square feet on 3M vinyl and lamination, which was then hand installed by Kenny and his installation team. Sean stated “We [Nissan and 3M] chose ThumbPrint for the Nissan Contest Winners Project based on their professionalism, high standards of quality, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile to meet a tough deadline. It was fitting that ThumbPrint is also a small business, completing the full circle for this small business support program.”

Kenny and his team were thrilled to be asked to participate in the Nissan event saying, “out of all the 3M Certified Graphic Installation Companies across America, we are grateful to have been asked and awarded the opportunity, and most of all, thrilled to hear that Nissan executives were pleased with the results.”

In 2012, owner, Kenny Miller, invested the required time training, and then testing for 2-days at 3M corporate headquarters in St. Paul, MN. Kenny graduated in the top of the class, and has since trained other local installers.
