Dr. Roman Cibirka to Chair THE NEXT DDS Dean’s Council

MAHWAH, N.J. - Sept. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- NMG is pleased to announce the engagement of Roman M. Cibirka, DDS, MS, Vice Provost of Georgia Regents University, as Chair of a newly formed “Dean’s Council” for THE NEXT DDS.  Under his leadership, the Dean’s Council will liaise with dental school administrators and faculty to foster awareness of this distinctive dental peer-reviewed student resource for progressive institutions to align its contents with today’s students’ needs .  In addition, for those institution’s already embracing this millennial style educational resource, the intent is to create a forum to allow peer to peer advancement of their students overall experience within the website.

Dr. Cibirka is a dental faculty member, as well as an internationally recognized speaker and author that has previously held positions at the University of Detroit and University of Michigan before assuming roles of increasing responsibility at Georgia Regents University.  He is a member of numerous national and international dental organizations.

THE NEXT DDS dental student community has swelled to over 8,000 members since its March 5, 2011 launch at the Annual Session of the American Student Dental Association.  As Chair of its Dean’s Council, Dr. Cibirka will collaborate with a select group of distinguished dental leaders and educators to enhance educational learning outcomes using the newly revised THE NEXT DDS as an integral resource.

“Today’s dynamic learning environment requires key partnerships to ensure access to quality content, value, timely development, and implementation for optimal student and faculty engagement” remarked Cibirka.  “I look forward to collaborating with the Council members as we explore the technology and capacity of THE NEXT DDS to optimize student and faculty engagement, generate superior learning outcomes and  improving overall faculty productivity.”
