Follow on Google News | Shrewsbury Health and Racquet Club (SHARC) Welcomes New Swim Team Coach, Dana HodgesBy: Expose Yourself PR A Boston Globe Coach of the Year recipient, Hodges began his swim coaching career at Colby College in 1986 as the Assistant Men and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach. Hodges, who continued to coach competitive swimming at a University and High School level, led a number of his teams to championship titles. Former President of the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) and recipient of the American Swimming Coaches Associate Certificate of Excellence are just a few of Dana Hodges qualifications. It is his dedication to teaching and extensive credentials that bring such excitement to the SHARC staff and community as we look forward to his start as Swim Team Coach. Hodges will coach our competitive swim teams, to help motivate and foster continued development, technically, physically, and mentally. At SHARC, we believe swimming is an essential life skill that offers so many opportunities for recreation, competition, work, and most importantly, saving lives. SHARC offers a number of aquatics programs for all ages and abilities, including: -Private & semi-private swimming lessons for kids and adults -Develop technically, physically, and mentally through our Swim Club -Join one of our Group Exercise Water Classes Our lifeguards and instructors are committed to learning the most current methods and standards of aquatic skills and instruction.
