By: BodyBrite Omaha How did you get started in the business? – I already had laser hair removal myself and I loved everything about it except the price. So when my husband and I were looking for a new business venture and we came across BodyBrite and its model for affordable hair removal, I knew immediately that I wanted to open a location in Omaha so that everyone could afford to have it done. What has been your most important achievement professionally? Tell me a little about your family. – I’ve been married to my best friend for 11 years. I have a stepson who is starting his 4th year in college at San Diego State. My family, including my brother and his wife, live here in Omaha with three children and my in-laws along with their children are in Connecticut and Arizona. What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Opening up BodyBrite and finally being in business for myself. What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Go for a walk, run or a bike ride with my husband and hang out with family and friends. What are you the most proud of? – Putting myself through college on my own dime–sometimes working two jobs to pay for it. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Choose your battles. Not every little thing is worth getting into an argument about. Which talent would you most like to have? – I would love to know how to play the piano and one day I will! If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Professional Golf. How fun would it be to travel the world, work outside in great weather and play a game for a living? What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – I’ve just started Michael Crichton’s Pirate Latitudes, his last complete book before he passed. I’ve loved pretty much all of his books and so far this one’s not disappointing. What is your favorite movie? – I love all the classic horror movies. I get that from my dad. But not the gory ones! What is your favorite local restaurant? – LeVoltaire. The portion sizes are perfect where you can have an appetizer, meal and dessert! If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – My father-in-law. He wasn’t really famous but he passed away before I had a chance to meet him face-to-face and from what I know of him, I missed out. If our readers would like to contact you, how should they do so? – You can reach me at (402) 934-BODY. End
