Suburban Bank & Trust Names Michael Himmes Vice President / Commercial Banking

ELMHURST, Ill. - Sept. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Elmhurst, Illinois - Suburban Bank & Trust announced today that Michael Himmes has joined SBT as Vice President, Commercial Banking.

Before joining SBT, Himmes was Assistant Vice President / Commercial Banking at MB Financial.

SBT President Donald A. O’Day made the announcement saying, “We’re pleased to welcome Mike to SBT. Mike is a familiar face in the Elmhurst community not only as a banker but also through his involvement with the Chamber and the Jaycees.”

“Mike’s experience in commercial and industrial lending, as well as his knowledge of the Chicago market serve only to enhance SBT’s capabilities as we continue to grow our business loan portfolio.”

Prior to MB Financial, Himmes began his banking career at Harris Bank.

I also like helping my clients create efficiencies in their operations with customized cash management solutions.”

Himmes is active with the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has served on its executive board as Treasurer. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Elmhurst Jaycees and on the Development Council of RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale. He has been active with the Tooling and Manufacturing Association and the Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries association.

Himmes graduated Summa Cum Laude from Elmhurst College with a degree in Finance/Economics. He lives in Villa Park with his wife, Cassandra, and their family.
