Co-owned Clinic to be the first of it’s kind in Santa Cruz County, offering holistic and naturopathic primary care for the entire family. When people think of going to the doctor, they may think about sitting in a crowded waiting room for a half an hour past their appointment time. They may think about being rushed through a visit without having a chance to ask pertinent questions. They may think about leaving the office with a prescription which addresses their symptoms, but not the true cause of their illness. For people in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties, the way they think about going to the doctor is about to change. Thrive Natural Medicine, a family practice run and co-owned by three Naturopathic Doctors, has just announced its Grand Opening, to take place on September 3, 2013. With Naturopathic Doctors on staff, as well as several other integrative and holistic health practitioners, the practice is one of the largest and most comprehensive of its kind on California’s Central Coast. The clinic is located at 2840 Park Avenue in Soquel and offers primary natural medical care to patients throughout the greater Monterey Bay area. Thrive also provides patrons with convenient access to Highway 1 and a free, on-site parking lot for patient use and ease. Every Friday is B12 Friday, our first one was on September 6th, 2013. Each Friday from 3-6pm we offer discounts on vitamin B12 shots (injections) Naturopathic medicine addresses the cause of disease and each individual’s health issues, rather than the symptoms, and naturopathic doctors take the time to really listen and work in a partnership with patients to educate and empower them to make informed decisions about their own health. Visits are typically longer and involve a detailed taking of the case history. There is also a greater emphasis on prevention, as well as treating each person’s unique genetic, metabolic, emotional, and preferential needs.
