In 2005, Chris Jones found a vehicle for his songwriting, and he named it Cottonmouth Jones. Along with Chris Jones, Terry Jones on drums, and bassist Mickey "Bullbucker"
"I'm very excited about the release of this album because I feel it's the first real album we've made. We've been playing and recording music for a long time but I think we've finally found our sound," Jones said.
And that sound will remind listeners of some legends: Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, and Social Distortion; that's good company to keep.
"This will be the fourth recorded album for Cottonmouth Jones. The first three albums were recorded very quickly, and without much thought about production. We are Outlaws after all! On this current album, we decided to make a fully produced piece of work; one that showed the dynamic of the band, and that is something that we feel will be very special," explained Jones.
Once Jonestown releases on November 1st, anyone who's interested can visit Cottonmouth Jones's official website http://www.cottonmouthjones.com to find out how to get a copy.
Chris Jones left our interview with this heartfelt statement: "We put an honest days work into the songs we write. Some songs are dark and some songs not so much, but our hope is that they connect with people from all walks of life."
