During the assessment the client was asked about their general lifestyle and sleep habits as well as any other medical conditions or issues such as anxiety and depression. Once a picture had been established Martina McKeough the Clinical Hypnotherapist gave some advice on sleep hygiene with particular emphasis on how to avoid the anxiety of not being able to fall asleep.
Following the assessment the client was induced into a hypnotic state and given hypnotherapy for sleep (http://www.balancehypnosisstalbans.co.uk/
A follow up appointment was made a week later and the client reported that when they went to bed that night they listened to the audio and were able to fall asleep without any problem. This had been repeated every night meaning that the chronic insomnia had been eradicated.
