Follow on Google News | Annual Quilt Raffle to Benefit Poricy Park ConservancyRebecca’s Reel Quilters of Poricy Park will hold its Annual Handmade Quilt Raffle to benefit Poricy Park.
By: Poricy Park Conservancy The handmade quilt is designed, created and donated by members of Rebecca’s Reel Quilters Guild of Poricy Park, located in Middletown, NJ. The quilt is queen/king sized and designed with beautiful earth tones with soft blue accents, and is valued at $1,000. Raffle tickets are $1.00 per ticket; 100% of the proceeds to benefit Poricy Park Conservancy. Photo available upon request. The drawing will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 4:00pm at Poricy Park located at 345 Oak Hill Road in Middletown. Winner need not be present to win. For additional information or to purchase a ticket, visit the Poricy Park Nature Center Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm. Weekend hours at the Nature Center generally are 11am - 4pm but may fluctuate based on pre-scheduled birthday parties, group and community programs. Tickets may also be purchased at Rebecca's Reel Quilters Guild meetings and events. All summer camp and community programs are run by Poricy Park Conservancy, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. Poricy Park is located at 345 Oak Hill Road in Middletown Township. With exceptional ecological resources, the 250 acre historical and nature site makes it one of the largest parks in Monmouth County. The Park offers recreational activities such as magnificent wooded hiking trails, bird watching, pristine pond settings, fishing, and a one-of-a-kind 70 million year-old Cretaceous fossil bed.
