The ongoing Sting! series always signifies the launch of a new art installation at The Beehive and highlights an evening of great live entertainment, food & libation specials along with amazing art! For this 16th installment, Jennifer Epstein joined forces with Crystalle Lacouture to bring together a remarkable group of artists from Boston, Western Massachusetts and New York City. Guest curator Crystalle Lacouture is a painter and printmaker working outside Boston. She graduated with a fine arts degree from Skidmore College then spent the next nine years living in New York City and working at the Lower East Side Printshop as a long-time assistant to the artists Nancy Spero and Leon Golub, and at the College Art Association. The Moth and the Firefly, a picture book she illustrated and designed, is coming out this fall in a hardback print edition. According to Lacouture, curating “Sharp & Blurry” at The Beehive has been an exciting creative project that brings together artists from the three creative hubs: Boston, NYC, and the Berkshires where she spends her time.
