Stereolabs reveals new 4K stitching technology at IBC13

Sept. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Produce more with less - Stereolabs will showcase at IBC13 a new set-up for live events that stitches dual 4K or HD feeds from side-by-side cameras into a panoramic view and allow to extract an HD frame in real-time from a remote van or facility.

In order to satisfy the growing demand for live content, as well as the need to minimize costs due to large teams of engineers and technical operators being required at remote venues and locations, the production needs to be brought back as much as possible to centralized control rooms within off-site broadcast or production facilities.

In order to reduce staff requirements and travel budgets, and benefit from the increased bandwidth available to broadcasters between events location and remote facilities, Stereolabs has created multi-camera set-up that can replace traditional main cameras on-site and offer an increased field of view while reducing operating costs. The multi-camera set-up installation can be fully automated thanks to the powerful PURE video engine.

The WideD technology wil be revealed by Stereolabs at IBC2013, hall 11, stand E41. "This technology opens new opportunities to create wide shots and feed replays in high key events, generate more coverage and cut down costs in second tier sports", said Edwin Azzam, CTO of Stereolabs.
