SWANSEA, Wales - Sept. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- This Christmas will see a new band enter the battle for Christmas number 1 as Nev and The Call Centre go head to head with the X-Factor, with the release of a charity single titled SWSWSWN.

The specially written track, being recorded this week at Music Wales, takes its name from one of Nev’s most popular sayings “Some Will, Some Won’t, So What – Next!” The track features Nev on vocals along with some familiar faces from the popular BBC3 show, the music is being provided by Call Centre band The Dialists.

There is more than a hint of Goldie Lookin’ Chain about the SWSWSWN track. The lyrics are light hearted shining a light on Call Centre characters including Hayley and Twe as well as recounting Nev’s infamous run in with Angela Ripon on the One Show.

Completing the charity release is a unique cover of Mr Brightside with Nev talking on the Brandon Flowers role in a version he’s calling Mr Brightside C Sharp. The song is Nev’s personal favourite and is sung by every new starter at Nev’s company, Save Britain Money.

Nev commented “I’m obviously excited about this one, I have been a frustrated rock star my whole life so the chance to record a single is fantastic. I’m incredibly grateful to Music Wales who are providing their services fee of charge so we can give all profits straight to a charity.”

“The chance to raise a good amount of money for charity is what is driving our efforts. Most charity records pick the big UK wide charities to support but as a Welsh company recording in Wales I felt it was important to support a charity that does important work across Wales. Tŷ Hafan offers comfort, care and support for life-limited children and young people and it is an honour to support them.”

Jeremy Jackson, Tŷ Hafan’s Director of Marketing and Fundraising, said: “We are absolutely delighted that we’ve been chosen by Nev, the directors and employees of Save Britain Money as the charity beneficiary of the Call Centre’s Christmas single. Tŷ Hafan serves all of Wales and we need to ensure awareness of our services to attract referrals of children in need of our care throughout the country.

“The choice of Tŷ Hafan as a beneficiary will not only make a great contribution to the running costs of care but will also help extend our reach, heighten awareness and help ensure that no life-limited child is uncared for and no family unsupported. For Tŷ Hafan to be recognised by the Call Centre speaks volumes for Nev’s sense of community and social responsibility towards the people of Wales.”

Music Wales Director Paul Child said, "We're delighted to be working with Nev and his team in the recording and release of their charity single, I'm sure that it will be a great success.  I'm looking forward to seeing Nev in the charts and who knows; maybe he could even be the next Tom Jones!"

Released on 16th December, all profits raised from the sale will be donated to Tŷ Hafan.

The single will be available to download online via iTunes and Amazon for 79p and the CD single will be available to purchase for £2.25 from HMV.com, Play.com and from select Tesco stores in Wales.
