McGladrey Expands Atlanta Presence

ATLANTA - Sept. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- McGladrey LLP, the nation's leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, is expanding its Atlanta operations, and recently added two partners to the firm’s office at 1230 Peachtree Street, N.E. Michael J. Anderson is a tax partner and Henry H. Niden is an assurance partner.

As the Atlanta tax practice leader, Anderson focuses on providing practical, tax-efficient structures and strategies to middle market businesses. His experience includes tax planning for C and S corporations, partnerships, and LLCs; corporate structuring and restructuring; mergers and acquisitions tax planning; and representation before the Internal Revenue Service. He has served clients in the manufacturing, distribution, private equity, services, technology, insurance and retail industries.

As the Atlanta assurance practice leader, Niden delivers advice and consultation to clients and audit committees regarding complex accounting matters, and provides financial audit, accounting and related consulting services to a broad range of public and private companies. Having practiced for more than 26 years in public accounting, he has significant experience in advising clients with initial public offerings, financing transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Niden is experienced in a variety of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, transportation, mass media and employee benefit plans.

Anderson graduated cum laude with a B.S. in accounting from The University of Alabama. Prior to joining McGladrey, he was a tax partner in an Atlanta-based regional accounting firm, and served as a senior tax manager with a Big Four accounting firm. Anderson is a CPA, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors for The Cathedral Preschool as well as for the Atlanta chapter of the Red Elephant Club.

Niden graduated from Emory University with a B.B.A.in accounting. Prior to joining McGladrey, he was an audit partner in a Big Four firm in Atlanta. He is a CPA, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.  In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors for OnBoard and Georgia Shakespeare.
