Epic Fighting to host CAMO's MMA Regionals in San Diego

SAN DIEGO - Sept. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- San Diego-based Epic Fighting, a leader in San Diego MMA promotion, was selected by the California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization, Inc. (CAMO) - a non-profit public benefit corporation created to oversee and maintain the safety and credibility of amateur MMA in the State of California - to host the first leg of the California Amateur MMA State Championships.

Epic Fighting will bring together 30 of San Diego’s top MMA talent, including two female fighters, to compete with the hopes of advancing to the State Quarterfinals.

The qualified licensed CAMO athletes that were invited will commence in eight different regions across the state: Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino/Riverside, San Diego, Bay Area, Sacramento, Central Valley, and Central Coast.

Winners from each event will move on from the Regionals to the State Quarterfinals, then to the State Semi-Finals with the best finally meeting for the State Championship title in November/December 2013.

“Epic Fighting’s purpose is to provide San Diego’s talented MMA fighters with the experience and exposure necessary to become professional fighters,” said Jason Stewart, CEO of Epic Fighting. “It is an honor to be selected by CAMO to host this year’s Regionals. We are matching up the top-tiered talent in San Diego and I am confident several of these fighters have the ability to make it to the State Championship.”

San Diego has quickly become a hotbed for up and coming MMA fighting talent to train and launch their careers. Epic Fighting provides an outlet by holding CAMO sanctioned fights at various venues throughout San Diego County, helping amateur fighters gain experience in a more convenient, effective and safe manner.
