West Delhi MP Shri Mahabal Mishra was the chief guest of honour and Councillor Shri Satheender Singh Rana, Vicar of Goyla Dairy Parish Father Titus Remal, and Shri Ashish Rathore were the distinguished guests who graced this occasion. The meeting was led by Vicar General Father Daniel Verghese while Bishop Dr. Simon John officially addressed this social event.
In his speech, MP Shri Mahabal Mishra expressed his immense appreciation of the event and also acknowledged the admirable social activities of the Believers Church and its supreme leader The Metropolitan Bishop, Dr. K.P. Yohannan. “The Believers Church is playing a vital role in the lives of the deprived and the destitute. It is through such programs that people will learn to live a life that is dignified and also earn a decent livelihood. I’m extremely honoured to be a part of this social event,” added the MP.

The Church volunteers selected 137 poor families on the basis of their low socio-economic status. As a part of the annual Community Development Program, this year, the Believers Church aims to reach out to 1,200 impoverished families in Delhi & NCR with a budget support of INR 35 lakhs.
With over 23 lakh members, the Believers Church is active across the country and in 10 countries worldwide. Besides assisting the underprivileged families, the Church is keenly involved in imparting free education to 64,000 homeless children across India under the Bridge of Hope project, its flagship program and is also providing nutritious meals to children, aiming at their holistic physical and mental acuity development.
The Believers Church’s several other social programs and initiatives have aided thousands of poor families, children, women, leprosy patients and villages through education, counseling, healthcare facilities through the Believers Church Hospital & Medical College, providing clean drinking water, conducting health camps, providing shelter and rehabilitation facilities.
Bishop Dr.KP Yohannan’s compassion toward the sufferings of his fellow beings, his utmost devotion and selflessness to serve God and humanity, and his pragmatic thinking and innovative solutions to concerns faced by people have resulted in the Believers Church launching major nation-building and relief projects, which have brought with it hope and healing to millions.
