One of the Managing Members of ActiveAdult, Stephan LaCount, was questioned as to why AAL decided to install the “chat” tool to provide online support to seniors.  “Over the recent past, we have noticed that many seniors find it easier to chat with someone about their community needs than filling in a form for assistance or reading about it on the website.  We noted that sometimes the information provided on the website may not be sufficient for some seniors.  Although we do provide much information about communities, providing one-to-one assistance seemed like a timely idea.  For example, these interested parties may require specific information which may not be detailed on the website or blog.  This is where the online support comes in.  Interested seniors can obtain the information they need to make an educated and viable decision by chatting with a representative.  The “chat” tool also enables us to provide more to our customers.  This way, we feel we are doing more than others in providing assistance to seniors”.
