New ESD Circuit Board Designed-In Protection Scanning Analysis Service at Dangelmayer Associates

BOSTON - Sept. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- We are pleased to announce that Dangelmayer Associates (http://www.dangelmayer.com/) is expanding our offerings with Pragma Design's System ESD Scanning Technology.  Jeff Dunnihoo (http://www.dangelmayer.com/dream-team.php#dunnihoo) at Pragma brings additional and fascinating expertise to our team related to EOS/ESD circuit board and device interface design and ESD architecture analysis.  With Jeff's experience and Pragma’s scanning techniques, we can now provide video imaging of actual current flow in protection circuits on boards.   More often than not, protection designs are not performing as anticipated by circuit designers due to incorrect assumptions about discharge paths.  Scanning helps either verify assumptions for margin when things work, or understand the unexpected when they don't.

He has 25 year of experience in system design and protection applications in the consumer, computer and telecommunications product sectors.  Jeff has worked on production test development and failure analysis for IBM, I/O and interface design at SMC (now SMSC), and high-speed ESD/EOS protection for CMD (now On Semi) and NXP.

He has also been a contributor to industry groups and standards bodies such as USB, IEEE 802.11, VESA DisplayPort, the Industry Council on ESD Target Levels and is a member of the Board of Directors of the ESD Association.  He has been granted several patents in ESD, signal integrity, and system architecture applications since graduating with a BSEE from the University of Texas at Austin.
