SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sept. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, is sponsoring the Extreme Networks Liberation Tour truck event. On Tuesday, September 10 at its San Jose, California headquarters, Extreme Networks will showcase cutting-edge networking technologies including Biamp’s Tesira and other best-of-breed Audio Video Bridging (AVB) devices in a fully customized, 18-wheel semi-truck. The Extreme Networks tour truck has been bringing hands-on demonstrations of the cloud, software-defined networking (SDN), and network mobility to industry tradeshows, sporting events, and customer locations all over North America. "Extreme Networks mission from the start was to liberate customers from complexity and cost through innovation. The Network Liberation Tour allows our customers, prospects and partners to get to know us, and experience the breadth of our technology first hand," said Darius Goodall, Director of Technical Marketing for Extreme Networks.

The 1,200 square feet of space in the truck combines elements of an executive conference room, an interactive classroom, a lounge, and breakout meeting areas. Featuring the absolute latest in next generation network technologies, Network Liberation Tour attendees will marvel at what Extreme Networks has in store for the AV/IT industry, and the world beyond.

"We're excited about the opportunity to provide our integrators, consultants, and end-users in the San Jose area a hands-on demo of how AVB networking is integrating across industries," said Steve Kawasaki, Northwest Regional Manager for Biamp. "It's an excellent example of how AV and IT have converged, and how powerful AVB truly is."

Biamp Systems and Extreme Networks are both active members of the AVnu Alliance, the industry consortium of professional AV, automotive and consumer electronics companies that are certifying the interoperability of open Audio Video Bridging (AVB) standards. The San Jose stop on the Liberation Tour is a backyard event in Extreme Networks hometown to demonstrate the partnership of these companies and exemplify how AVB technologies work together seamlessly to provide storage, security and software solutions for todays’ growing data center opportunities.

Join us at the event from 10 am – 4pm PT at the Extreme Network headquarters located at 145 Rio Robles, San Jose, CA.
