SEDALIA, Mo. - Sept. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Sedalia, Missouri– Winchester Meadows of Sedalia was recognized by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services for receiving a deficiency-free monitoring visit of its assisted living in August 2013.  State surveyors conduct unannounced inspections of the state’s assisted living and long-term care facilities to insure that all requirements of established rules and regulations are being followed. State surveyors review nursing, social work, activities, human resources, dietary, and other areas to assess the quality of care and services provided to clients, patients, residents and tenants.  State surveyors found zero deficiencies, out of numerous items of consideration, at Winchester Meadows assisted living and recognized the community and staff for their provision of care and service.

“The dedicated staff at Winchester Meadows is the reason for our successful results,” stated Rhonda Gaylord, Administrator of Winchester Meadows.  “Having a deficiency-free survey is difficult in Missouri.  All areas are closely scrutinized, which makes it very hard to have everything exactly as it should be.  We are all very proud of our community.

Winchester Meadows has served the seniors of Sedalia and the neighboring area since 2006.    Seniors are able to maintain their active lifestyle and independence by moving into apartments in the Independent Living and Assisted Living areas.  Winchester Meadows features 52 Independent Living apartments with a choice of four floor plans and 47 Assisted Living apartments with three floor plans to choose from.
