AdvantaPure(R) Welcomes Manager for Single Use Systems; New Position Adds to Company’s Expertise

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. - Sept. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- AdvantaPure announces the appointment of Tony Butler as Manager of Single Use Systems. The position is new and comes about due to the company’s continued organic growth and expansion in the single use market. AdvantaPure manufactures bulk silicone and AdvantaFlex(R) biopharmaceutical grade TPE tubing, single use molded manifold assemblies, molded BioClosure(R) container closures, line sets and flexible process hose for pharmaceutical and biologics manufacturing applications.

“Tony’s knowledge of single use processes will help our engineers with system design and process integration,” said John Stover, Director of Product Management. “He has many years of experience with high purity products and process upgrades, plus a thorough understanding of the level of quality needed for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical production.”

AdvantaPure has emphasized its unique capabilities in the single use arena for several years and wanted to offer more technical knowledge to its customers and distributors. Butler will not only help company employees remain up-to-date on the specifics of single use systems but will be available for customer consultations involving conversions to single use processes, component selection, and process improvements.

Butler holds Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (CSSBB) from the American Society for Quality.

His background includes positions in process engineering, project management, and quality assurance in industries involving single use systems, bioprocessing, animal vaccines, and sterile containers. Butler is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
