CHICAGO - Sept. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Illinois Jump$tart Coalition (ILJ$), as an affiliate of the nation’s leading advocate for youth financial education National Jump$tart Coalition, is hosting an educational event entitled “I Graduated College Debt-Free and You Can Too…” on Thursday September 26th, 2013 at the College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL. (Room 2029)  Registration begins at 11:15AM with the presentation from 11:30AM – 12:30PM followed by networking.

This event is the third in a series of education/networking events to be hosted by ILJ$ throughout Illinois.  The speaker and special guest is Adi Redzic. Adi will share useful tips, ideas and tools to help students reduce debt and achieve their financial goals.

Adi serves as the Executive Director of iOme Challenge (www.iomechallenge.org)  iOme Challenge is a national effort to engage young people to think about their future and challenges college students to change the world by investing now in their own lifelong financial security

Before iOme, Adi co-ran a center for spiritual development where his work contributed to bringing 11 faith traditions under the same roof and engaging thousands of young people in personal exploration, leadership development, and in service to others. During this time, he also led a coalition of 47 organizations and over 3,000 youth in service to their communities. Prior to this, Adi served in various capacities, from a student leader in a UNICEF-sponsored initiative and executive editor of an independent collegiate newspaper to working on a regional branding initiative for Greater Green Bay, Wis. In 2011, Adi was selected as one of the inaugural Future 15 (http://vimeo.com/19709375) leaders of Northeast Wisconsin.

A native of Montenegro (former Yugoslavia), others have often said that Adi’s story is an example of a proverbial “American Dream.” Arriving at Milwaukee in 2004 as an exchange student with a few hundred dollars and a dream, Adi graduated from an American high school and went on to get his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Studies and Business from St. Norbert College and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago.

Admission to the event is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required.  Don’t delay, RSVP today.  You may RSVP online at iljumpstart.org or call 800-237-4958 ext 8.
