LAS VEGAS - Sept. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- The Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight against Canelo Alvarez may be much tighter than sports critics and fans expect, announced Vinny Furlani, boxing expert and Art of Boxing magazine founder. Based on his 10-Point Strategic Boxing System, Furlani will offer an in-depth analysis of Mayweather and four other Welterweight fighters in Art of Boxing’s September issue. As the premiere publication for the boxing fan and fighter, the magazine is now available on iPhone, iPod Touch devices and Apple’s Newsstand application.

Furlani deems Mayweather as one of the world’s greatest boxers. ‘A 10-Point fighter through and through,’ Furlani attributes Mayweather’s success to his fast hands, slick defense and well-executed stance. The 10-Point Strategic Boxing System, developed by Furlani, is based on the old school strategies learned from two-time world champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Floyd Patterson.

While Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. is believed to have substantial advantages over Canelo “Cinnamon” Alvarez, Furlani expects Alvarez to execute a few unforeseen maneuvers that could catch Mayweather off guard during their highly anticipated fight on September 14.

“Most reviews are saying Floyd Mayweather Jr. will win, hands down and with flying colors, and that Canelo Alvarez doesn’t stand a chance,” Furlani said. “But these critics aren’t taking into account that Alvarez is an extremely aggressive fighter with a cautious defense—techniques Mayweather hasn’t seen or experienced in a long time and may not be fully aware of.”

“Canelo Alvarez may be seen as the underdog in this match, but he leverages his punches for more power than Floyd Mayweather Jr. He’s naturally bigger and stronger than Mayweather—not to mention almost 15 years younger,” Furlani commented. “He’s got a lot of fire and I don’t believe Mayweather’s advantage on that fight will be greater than maybe 2-3 points.”

There is no doubt that these two top fighters are getting mentally and physically prepared as they gear up for their big match. While their nutrition secrets may be kept under wraps, Furlani considers Automatic Body by Nutrié as an ideal way to obtain optimum physical condition, both in boxing and in general. Designed by Kim Lyons, former trainer of NBC’s Biggest Loser and featured on Dr. Phil’s Weight Loss Challenge and The Dr. Oz Show, Automatic Body is a line of nutrition supplements that makes getting in shape easy.

Using a simple phone application that tells when to make small changes each day, this system is easy and convenient for the busy, fluctuating schedules typical the average American, its website noted. Furlani attributes much of his 40-pound weight loss to Automatic Body by Nutrié.

Furlani also announced the recent launch of a video series venture, “Train Like A Champ,” where he will show the advantages of boxing techniques from his 10-point system alongside boxing champion Tracy Patterson . The first video of the series is expected to be offered for purchase in October at www.ArtOfBoxingTraining.com, a new website that will be available in the coming weeks.

Art of Boxing magazine will cover Point 5 in the 10-Point System, the Upper Cut, in its September issue.

“A lot of fighters today throw punches incorrectly, with no technique,” Furlani specified. “Boxers leave their head wide open. But with the discipline of the 10-Point System, there’s little room for that type of error.”
