Setting Sail for new waters – ex-Harris Pye Marketing Manager launches PR & Marketing Agency

NEWPORT, Wales - Sept. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Ex-Group Marketing Manager of global offshore and marine engineering company Harris Pye, Jenny Batters, has launched JB Marketing and PR – a UK (Newport) based agency which specialises in targeted business development strategies and communications.

She has spotted a gap in the market, which if addressed could increase companies’ turnover by millions of pounds.

During her time with the Group she noticed how many small to medium sized companies in the marine and offshore sectors leave their growth to chance, with no marketing or communications strategy.

“Many are relying on organic, engineering-led growth,’ she said, ‘Which is fine up to a point, but it’s a very competitive market, and if you want to make the leap into the big time, you really need to have a strong marketing strategy.”

This is where, according to Ms Batters, her agency’s services could prove invaluable.  “Let’s face it, not many companies are as big and successful as Harris Pye!  But that doesn’t mean they can’t afford decent marketing and PR.  Especially when support, as and when needed, from agencies like JB Marketing are the perfect solution.”

Ms Batters has over twenty years’ experience in marketing and PR, and has worked for the likes of Calor Gas, Cambridge Water and MDSI Inc.  She is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing and also the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

She is already seeing success since leaving Harris Pye some months ago.  She has developed new-market penetration and market-gain strategies for international and national engineering companies, and also undertaken direct marketing for a Plymouth-based IT business.  She is poised to kick-start a full marketing campaign for Cardiff based Atlantic Pacific Marine in October, including a new website, sales materials and global PR.

“It’s still early days” says Ms Batters, “But my ambition is to see JB Marketing and PR grow along with its SME clients, by helping with high calibre, affordable PR and marketing.”
