The Fire Roller Shutters are designed and manufactured solely by Industrial Door Engineering at its Cheshire based factory from scratch using the latest steel cold rolling techniques. Each piece of steel goes though the cold rolling machine process where it is formed into a 75mm by 20swg Lath which is then assembled on site to produce the Fire Roller Shutter.
Using this technique the shutters hold a fire test rating of 4hrs from the Loss Prevention Council who have tested the resistance to fire of the product at their fire research station in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. Each door holds this vital certificate and is one of the reasons Industrial Door Engineering continues to lead the way in the manufacturing of these fire roller shutters.
Winning the contract to supply these doors to Hoermann.de is a large step forward for Industrial Door Engineering into Europe. The contract adds testament to the level of service and dedication to excellence it holds in supplying premium roller shutters to the security and door industry, and continuing to keep its place as one of the leading manufacturers in the United Kingdom.
The contract was completed on Friday 6th September when the doors were loaded for transport overland to Germany from the Cheshire factory. Chris Hughes, contract manager at Industrial Door Engineering said “The logistics that go in to transporting these roller shutters across Europe are huge but it is something we take in our stride every day.”
