Follow on Google News | Medical Community Believes McCorkle’s Depiction Of Affordable Care Act More Realistic Than FictionMcCorkle's depiction of a future under Obamacare is disturbingly realistic
By: TouchPoint Press Set in a fictional but dark and disturbingly realistic emergency department, A SICK SYSTEM, depicts the events of a single day and how much havoc and evil the impending ACA may impart upon unwitting Americans. The day begins with a mother waiting to see her sick eight-year-old son, his parents’ only focus being his recovery. Then comes Universal Health Care and treatment is forever changed—as are the lives of those under its thumb. McCorkle’s novella is categorized as dark fiction for its heavy and descriptive view of what Americans might encounter under the terms of the ACA. What will you do when forced to obtain a health plan that could very well be the end of life as you know it—and put the literal well-being of your family in jeopardy? If even a portion of this novella were to come true, it won’t matter what you think you might do; you will do as your government instructs or suffer the consequences. Long-time medical professional and Senior Clinician Educator, Kathleen Bogacz, MD describes McCorkle’s novella as “an eye opener to what awaits Americans as the government takes over health care”. Bogacz adds, “[McCorkle] McCorkle, a former pastor and business owner, has published several nonfiction books, including You Gotta’ Wise Up!: Meditations from the Proverbs and Walk With Me, the latter scheduled to be republished and released by TouchPoint Press Sept. 27, 2013. In response to those who have influenced his views, McCorkle states, “If I were a conservative politician, I would challenge every American to read The Communist Manifesto, [paying] particular attention to the 10-point plan for communist takeover of advanced countries…you will find such ideas as a high progressive income tax, control of credit, and free education for children.” Quoting Lord Acton, he adds, “Few discoveries are more irritating than those which expose the pedigree of ideas.” McCorkle is available for interviews and appearances.
