ISHM to Exhibit at the 2013 National Safety Council Congress & Expo

YUMA, Ariz. - Sept. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- In late September, more than 12,000 safety, health and environmental professionals from around the world will converge in Chicago for the 2013 National Safety Council Congress & Expo.  The event has been taking place for over 100 years and is the premier event for professionals to learn about industry-leading technologies.  It also provides educational and networking opportunities and the chance for safety professionals to learn about industry certifications.

The NSC Congress & Expo will consist of over 190,000 square feet of exhibition space that will showcase 900 companies and organizations.  The Institute for Safety and Health Management will be on hand to educate attendees about internationally recognized safety management certifications and how they can make a difference in their careers.   ISHM administers the Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) certification and the Associate Safety and Health Manager (ASHM) and Certified Safety Management Practitioner (CSMP) programs for safety professionals and safety managers.

Through certification, ISHM promotes the establishment of professional standards for the safety professionals.  Those who have earned ISHM certifications are recognized throughout the industry and provide vital services for government agencies, the military and private industry.  These certification holders are highly sought after by human resources managers and government agencies, including OSHA, EPA, Homeland Security, Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.
